Establish Utsira as a hub for Utsira North, create business development and innovation in the energy sector and maritime sector, exploit synergies between agriculture and aquaculture to create new business opportunities and stimulate entrepreneurship and development in tourism and tourism.
Utsira wants to proactively create business development and innovation through combinations of its location, national and international trends in green conversion and a goal to develop a year-round sustainable tourism.
In a small district municipality like Utsira, the industry will not be able to carry out necessary development projects itself. The municipality will therefore take the initiative to participate actively in the implementation of development projects. The municipality will be outgoing and outreach to the business community, and actively look for opportunities for business development or new establishments.
Utsira municipality prioritises the following thematic focus areas.
A small island with many small players pulling in different directions will have no impact. The business community on Utsira has therefore gathered around the Utsira Business Forum to promote the business community's interests on the island.

Utsira municipality wants to create a local meeting point for innovation, business development with local management, ownership and management at Utsira. The municipality has therefore initiated a feasibility study to investigate the use of the Old School for such a purpose.
